J River Media Center(http://www.jrmediacenter.com/)
The number One player that made my endless search actually come to an end is J River Media Center. The fantastic thing with this player is that it can handle video, audio and images as fast as h***. And you don't have to use it as a Media Server, just a simple media player. finally my music and musicvideo collection can melt toghether in one program with all the features many player don't have. Due to the programers it's no problem with a library counting 100.000 files. And this is a lot of files. Other players crashes before 20.000 as mentioned under. The video file type support is great, you can customize almost everything, burn cd's, rip cd's, connect alomst any hanheld mp3-player including every iPod and creative player offcours, then you drag&drop files on to your player. Another great thing is that it looks a little like iTunes, so there's no problem for my friend and family to understand and easy play and transfere music with my computer. My girlfriend didn't aks me one question when she transfered songs to here iPod, and still I got all the preferences that's important for me in a program.
J River Media Jukebox (http://www.mediajukebox.com/)
This is the free version, it looks almost the same but it's without video support. If you want only a audio player this one or MediaMonkey should be you choice.

MeidaMonkey(http://www.mediamonkey.com/)
If you don't need the video and image support MediaMonkey should be you choice. It's fast, handles big libraries, very customizable, burn cd's, rip cd's, connect any iPod or mp3 player, change skins, search, sort osv. The MediaMonkey team are planning video support in the future, they just have to find a way to make it as fast as their audio section works. Until then, it's a second place shared with Media Jukebox.

Winamp(http://www.winamp.com)
At third we find Winamp, this is a great program for audio, too bad the video support sucks a little. But still, almost everyone got some kind of a relationship to Winamp, specially the old versions. And most people love it. Including my selfe, I just hope they'll figure out something smart to fix all bugs araound video and video plugins. Because the library and playback solution is great.

iTunes(http://www.apple.com/itunes/)
I think iTunes is great besides a couple small things that makes it only worth a fourth place. The library can ba a little slow at times and what I really hate is when the program tries to convert the whole world "on fly". So if your library contains, f.eks a a mix between mp3, wma, ogg and so on, just give it up. There are plenty of other programs that supports both wma and your iPod. But still, a lot of people use iTunes beacause it's easy and everyone knows it. That whats so great about it.

Windows Media Player(http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/default.mspx)
Good old Windows Media Player. The good thing with Windows Media player is the support for both audio and video and how well it's working. The library and the menues on the other hand can be a little boring. The whole player is actually a little boring, many people want something new, something cool, Windows Media Player is just not cool. But it's still a good player that rips, burns, has a good library, play the most files and looks ok.

Songbird(http://getsongbird.com/)
I really love this player, it's just so sad that everything alomst stops when you add more than 20.000 files to the library. It looks good, I love the skreemr.com search and it's very customizable.
